Interview with Nina Kalenkow

 Q: Hi Nina, what do you do to stay in shape?
Nina: Well, the usual. Beat up a few thugs, lug stuff about, and save the world once in a while. That keeps me young and fit.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself!
Nina: My name is Nina Kalenkov, I trained as a motorcycle mechanic, and I live in Berlin. My father, Vladimir Kalenkov, is a scientist who works for a museum in Berlin. All my life, I have kept stumbling into strange or exciting situations. My last really thrilling adventure came about two years ago when my father suddenly disappeared...

Q: Nina, where would you like to spend your next vacation?
Nina: Hm, some kind of "wellness" place would be way too boring. And I don’t need more action than I already get. I think I would like to just relax on a small island. Perhaps have a nice young man rub some lotion on my back. I would like that! Sip some cool drinks and just enjoy life on the beach...

Q: Where do you buy your clothes?
Nina: To avoid running into Nina clones everywhere, I will keep that a secret. But I will freely admit that I have this thing for cool motorcycle outfits.

Q: Do you read horoscopes, and do you believe in them?
Nina: Usually, I don’t really believe in horoscopes. But if it said something like, "In the next couple of days, your life might take a dramatic turn", that would get my attention, of course. And then I would try to keep well away from yet another adventure.

Q: How do you like Paris?
Nina: Paris!? That’s such a wonderful city. Unless you are compelled to run around like crazy, solving all kinds of puzzles. Still, I think Paris is just amazing.

Q: Would you care to share a few beauty tips?
Nina: Sure! A trip through the underground world of Gatineau in the morning, a little shipwreck around noon, a volcano eruption in the afternoon, and then, at night, a date with a madman who aspires to rule the world. Well, ladies, let me tell you ? a full, well-balanced life makes your body glow from the inside! Just look at me!

Q: What would the man of your dreams be like?
Nina: Just like Max! No, wait, Max and I split up...
The complete opposite of Max, then!

Q: Is there anything you really can’t stand in a man?
Nina: Arrogance. Lack of a sense of humor. Selfishness and constant fault-finding. Oh, and striving for world domination, of course.

Q: And what do you consider exciting?
Nina: Eating with your fingers.

Q: Siberia or Paris, where can you find better men?
Nina: I consider them more handsome in Paris, and smarter in Siberia.

Q: What do you think of Lara?
Nina: Lara? Lara has a really strong personality. I mean that quite literally. Although I think we are quite different types. I usually pack a pun, while she packs a punch...
